Saturday afternoon and it doesn't take much to convince me to get on down to Sno Beach on Barton Springs rd for a sno cone. I had had enough of roof and yard work when Joseph came home from shopping (getting stuff for his room at Seattle University) and it just sounded like the right thing to do at the time.
This is a classic place that is always packed. The trailer is parked right on the side of Barton Springs but what makes it hard to miss is the line of umbrellas that people are holding for shade because it is close to 99° this afternoon.

Joseph had lime and tigersblood and I had lime and pomegranate.
if its hot and you need to cool off this is a great place to stop. Don't let the line discourage you, it moves pretty fast and for three bucks the medium is plenty of sno cone.
The one thing about this place is it's right next to Sandy's which has the best frozen custard cone in Austin. I have been taking Joseph and Anna there since they started swimming at Barton Springs which was before they could walk. I think Sandy's will get the vote next time.
